David Peña-Rangel

I am an Assistant Professor in Politics at the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) in Mexico City. I received a Ph.D. in political theory from Stanford University in 2019.  I am interested in questions about distributive justice and democratic theory. My research has appeared or is forthcoming in Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, Politics, Philosophy & Economics, Política y Gobierno, Theory and Research in Education, and Isonomía. 

I was born and raised in Mexico City. Before beginning my Ph.D., I received a BA in Law from Mexico City's Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and an MA in International Comparative Education from Stanford University.
